You being you is not only important it is vital to your well being and happiness. Suppression leads to stress, sickness and disease.
Have you ever looked around and wondered why you don’t feel connected to a tribe or feel whole in your relationships? Chances are you are not being you! When you’re not being you other people cant see you, they don’t know that you share the same struggles. That you have similar experiences. That you love telling inappropriate jokes, or have a dry sense of humor. I’m not saying bare your soul right away when you first meet someone either, but start practicing what it feels like to be fully you.
- When getting dressed in the morning ask yourself what you would really be wearing if no one judged you. Wear at least one of those items. If you find discomfort, see if you can love, accept and celebrate yourself for choosing you over opinions.
- When you think something nice about someone in your head, share it with them! Some people may be surprised by all of your complements. Love that you are freely speaking your mind and choosing you over second guessing yourself.
- Stop apologizing for being you! Do not apologize for how you feel. Do not apologize, instead say “thank you for listening” or “pardon me.” Be proud of the person you are and the boundaries that you hold in your life.
These simple practices will lead to big, empowering shifts. It may lead you to find your tribe, to get the support that you need, and to achieve your authentic bliss!
