1. Fixed Cupping: Utilizing light to moderate suction, cups are placed on the skin and left in position for up to 20 minutes.
2. Moving Cupping: Oil, lotion, or cream is applied to the skin before a cup with light suction is placed. The cup is then moved around the area in slow, deliberate strokes.
It’s important to note that cupping may result in the appearance of petechiae (tiny purple dots) or bruising, which typically fades within 3 to 7 days. However, individuals with certain health or blood conditions are advised against undergoing cupping therapy.
