What it is and How it Works

Salt therapy, or halotherapy, is a holistic treatment that leverages the natural properties of salt to promote well-being. It traces its roots back to the salt caves and mines of Eastern Europe and has evolved into a modern therapy offered at wellness centers around the world, including here at Sacred Hour Spa. Our salt therapy sessions make use of a state-of-the-art halogenerator. This specialized device grinds pharmaceutical-grade salt into fine particles that are then dispersed into the air. As you breathe in the salt-enriched air, these particles can help cleanse your respiratory system and skin, potentially relieving various health conditions.Our Salt Lounge at Sacred Hour is set up for 4 guests.

Preparing for Your First Salt Session:

For your first salt therapy session, wear comfortable, light-colored clothing to avoid visible salt residue. Loose clothes like yoga pants, sweatpants, or a t-shirt work best since you’ll be sitting or reclining for 30 minutes. If you get cold easily, consider layering—blankets are also provided for warmth.

To maximize skin benefits, wear shorts and a short-sleeved shirt so more skin is exposed to the salt. Also, remove your shoes before entering the Salt Lounge and wear clean, white socks to keep the space clean.

Enhancing Your Salt Lounge Experience

Arrive Prepared -Dress comfortably in loose, light-colored clothing to maximize salt exposure.
Hydrate – Drink water before and after your session to stay hydrated, as salt therapy can be drying.
Breathe Deeply- Focus on deep breathing to help your body absorb the maximum benefit from the salt.
Relax- Bring headphones for music or a guided meditation, or simply enjoy the calming ambiance.
Consistency- Regular sessions can improve respiratory health, skin, and relaxation.
Post-Session-After your session, take time to relax and reflect to extend the calming effects.
